Behind The Label - Marianna. Founder of Burn Wild

Describe your brand/business in 3 words:
Eco-friendly , Vegan , Mindful
What inspires you when you think about the future of your business?
In my day to day life, nature and sustainability inspire me, I like to look around and see what I can do to make this world a better place for the generations to come. And I also get inspired by small businesses that got successful and they didn't lose their identity in the process. Creating a product that is good for my customers and doesn't hurt the planet is the core of my business!
What has been the biggest challenge you faced when building your business?
The biggest challenge has surely been overcoming my limiting beliefs, stopping that inner voice that was constantly telling me that I couldn't make it. Once you get past this stage and you leave space to your creativity to run loose, good things happen!
How do you look after your wellbeing when working long hours?
I always make sure that I set myself a limit on how many hours/how long I work that day.  Long walks in nature or a relaxing warm bath are my go to when I feel I need to switch off and look after myself.
What would your friends, family or colleagues say is your greatest skill?
My family and friends are fascinated about my creative mind and they like to see how my ideas evolve and come to life!
What sustainable swaps have you made over the past few years?
In the past few years I have happily reduced my impact on the planet with a vegan diet, then switching from plastic to paper or tote bags for my grocery, and using solid shower gels/shampoo to avoid packaging. I do not buy plastic water bottles anymore and I tend to choose glass over plastic in anything I can. These are small swaps I know, but it is important to start from somewhere!
Can you name something positive to have come out of 2020?
I started Burn Wild! 2020 hasn't been that bad then...
What is the best advice you could give to an entrepreneur starting a business?
Follow your gut and do not let anyone around you tell you what to do and how you should do it. If you have vision, go for it! And do not let little obstacles on the way set you off. Life is not perfect, and no one said that opening a business is. Trust the process and enjoy the ride!
