We caught up with Emani to dive deeper into the brains behind our new brand partner.
Describe your brand/business in 3 words:
I would describe my business as Luxurious, Personal and Natural.
What inspires you when you think about the future of your business?
What inspires me most when I think about the future is how many people that I can help. Knowing that people are using my products to better their own beauty and wellness is just everything for me.
What has been the biggest challenge you faced when building your business?
The biggest challenge building my business was trying to think of everything. I think someone like me who has never done anything like this before and has no experience what’s so ever! It’s quite scary because you know what you want, but to get there is not easy. So for me thinking of all the little things was hard because sometimes I felt like it was just one thing after another, but I pulled through and made it work!
How do you look after your wellbeing when working long hours?
For me my well-being is a top priority. I always make sure that I’m taking care of myself first, not to sound selfish. But I just feel like I get so much more done when I’m feeling good within myself. I love what I do so for me my business is not like work, it’s honestly my hobby and I love it.
What would your friends, family or colleagues say is your greatest skill?
I think my friends and family would say my greatest skill is remaining positive and being organised. Sometimes it’s hard when things don’t go your way but it’s all a lesson and I’m hear to learn.
What sustainable swaps have you made over the past few years?
I’ve made LOADS of changes in my life the past couple of years. I use only recycled bamboo pads for my face, I recycle and up-cycle, I have showers instead of baths and I’ve cut a lot of plastic out of my life I also try to go for more plant based foods rather than too much meat.
Can you name something positive to have come out of 2020?Something positive that came out of 2020 for me, was me quitting my job which was super scary at the time. But It gave me time to work on myself and what I really wanted to do in life.
What is the best advice you could give to an entrepreneur starting a business?
The best advice I can give it to listen to your heart. Everything will fall into place as long as you put in the work and believe in yourself. You got this!
